TSR Action Sports, New Braunfels, Texas - Wakeboard, Skateboard, Motocross & Rockclimb

OCTOBER 9-11 2009

Texas Invitational Wakeboard Tournament, Inc.:
This year Fall Fest will be home to the Inaugural Texas Invitational Wakeboard Tournament hosted by Texas Wake. The Tournament will be the largest Collegiate Wakeboard Tournament of the year and will feature both boat and cable competitions. Even more important than the competition, the Invitational is a charity event – with 100% of the net proceeds of the event going to the Austin Children’s Shelter – a wonderful local charity whose mission is to provide high quality care and shelter to the abused, neglected and abandoned children of our community. Here’s what’s going to happen as part of the Invitational:

Collegiate Regional Wakeboard Tournament:
The tournament will feature some of the best college wakeboard teams in the nation including 2009 National Runner-up UT, 2008 National Runner-up A&M, OU, LSU, SMU, TCU, North Texas, Texas State, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico, and others. The Tournament will use a 5 member team structure (3 men wakeboarders, 1 wakeskaters, 1 woman wakeboarder) with qualifiers on Saturday. The top four teams advance to Sunday. The semis will be head to head with #1 v. #4 and #2 v. #3. The losers will be matched in the Qualifier elimination match (only the top 3 teams qualify for Nationals). The winners will compete for the Texas Invitational title.

Cable Collegiate Nationals:
Fall Fest will also be home for the first Cable Collegiate Nationals. This will be an individual competition and will feature the best collegiate cable riders from across the country. The format will be the Cable Wake Park Series format two lap plus wildcard format.

Celebrity Challenge:
Three of the area’s best wakeboard schools (TSR, Freeride Wakeboard School and Lake Lessons) have teamed up for charity to coach six local celebrities for an INT-styled boat competition. Our celebrities include Loriana Hernandez (FOX-7), Deb O’Keefe (101X), Meg Campbell (K-EYE), Chip Brown (Orangebloods/1530 ESPN), Matt Mitchell (KVUE) and Ryan Lloyd (K-EYE). The cameras will start rolling Friday afternoon!

Flips for Kids Charity Event:
As part of the Texas Invitational, elementary school children have been raising pledges for the Austin Children’s Shelter based upon the number of flips their pro can do on the lake in a 3 minute time period. Texas Pro riders Tom Foshee, Gabe Lucas, Billy Garcia, Ross Skrudland, and Holland Finley have volunteered both their time (to work with the kids) and their efforts (to turn as many flips as humanly possible) to raise money for this wonderful local charity.
Wakeskate Skeeball: The pros will challenge a college all-star team in a Texas Ski Ranch vinatage Skeeball Tournament on the cable lake.
Concerts, Silent Auction, and Raffle: Our festival will keep it weird in the best of Austin traditionas with concert line-ups Friday and Saturday. We will also be raising money for the Austin Children’s Shelter through silent auctions and raffles throughout the weekend. The auction and raffle will be full of wake industry loot as the industry has lined up behind this event and this cause!

Traditional Fall Fest Events:
Along side of the Texas Invitational, we will be continuing the our fall fest tradition with . . . .
