MasterCraft Boat WakeSkate ONLY Format: (June 12)
Come watch the Byerly Toe Jam
& compete in TSR's Wakeskate ONLY Showdown
 |
Ameteur Riders may compete in one of three categories: Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. The riders will be judged and coached by some of the best wakeskaters in the world that happen to be in Texas competing in the Byerly Cable Jam at TSR. Aaron Reed, Danny Hampson and Bret Little are just three of the wakeskaters that will judge and help coach you through your run. The laid back competition format will give our judges plenty of opportunities to pass on a few tips to help you improve your wakeskating. If you enjoy wakeskating, this is an event you won't want to miss.
One turn per rider. Each rider will take off the starting dock to the right and turn around. Once the turn is complete the run will begin. The judges will score until the third fall or the rider returns to this end of the lake, whichever comes first. If the riders first fall is past the point of no return (Meaning there is not enough distance to get the rider up to speed and perform a trick) the run will end there. Riders will be judged on degree of difficulty, style, amplitude, variety and overall flow of their run. More importantly our world class judges will also give you advice on how to improve your riding! Riders will not be picked up after their third fall.

MasterCraft Boat Format: (June 5, 19, 26 & July 3)
One turn per rider. Each rider will take off the starting dock to the right and turn around. Once the turn is complete the run will begin. The judges will score until the second fall or the rider returns to this end of the lake, whichever comes first. If the riders first fall is past the point of no return (Meaning there is not enough distance to get the rider up to speed and perform a trick) the run will end there. Riders will be scored on degree of difficulty, style, amplitude, variety and overall flow of their run. Riders will not be picked up after their second fall.
Beginner:
One pass up and back. No obstacles are allowed. The rider may throw 1 invert or 5 at the end of his or her run. If they make that trick they will then compete in intermediate the following week.
Intermediate:
One pass up and back. No obstacles are allowed. The rider may throw invert s, 3's or 5's. The rider may not exced five of these tricks in his or her run. No Mobes, blind 5's or 7's.
Advanced:
One pass up and back. Obstacles are allowed. The rider may throw inverts, 3's or 5's. One mobes, blind 5 or 7 is allowed at the end of their run.
Pro / Outlaw and Wakeskate:
No restrictions
Cable Wake Park Format: (July 10, 17, 24 & 31)
2 runs per rider. Each run will consist of 1 full lap. If the rider falls during that lap, the first of two runs is finished. If he or she does not fall they must let go before reaching Tower 1. Every rider will take their first run and then repeat the order for their second turn. For the Advanced, Pro and Wakeskate Division each rider will get a third turn for a single wildcard trick of their choice, either on an obstacle or in the flats. The rider must wave their hand before to let the judges know that the wildcard trick is coming up. DO NOT throw any other tricks on this lap! They may be counted as your wildcard. This trick will be scored the same as the tricks in your run but riders are encouraged to attempt their most difficult trick here because of the extra set up time and the fact that you won't lose any ride time if you fall.
The same trick will not be scored twice. They will give you credit for the better of the two attempts. This means it would not be benificial to throw the same trick on your second run as you did on the first. Different grabs do not constitute a different trick (Railey, OHH, Hoochie Glide, Nuke Glide... are all the same trick), however if you do it switch it will be counted as different trick, or if you do a trick in the flats, you may also do it off the kicker. However this will hurt your overall composition score.
Beginner: Kickers 20%, Sliders 40%, Riding & Ollie Tricks 10%, Composition 30%:
No Air Tricks where the line is loaded. You may do Ollie 180's and Ollie 3's. All Obsticles are open. Spins up to 360 degrees are OK but no inverts or raleys.
Intermediate: Kickers 25%, Sliders 30%, Riding, Ollie & Air Tricks 15%, Composition 30% :
Flips and spins are allowed on all obsticles (No blind landing or full spinning flips) You may do air tricks but again no blind landing or full twisting tricks.
Advanced: Kickers 20%, Sliders 20%, Air Tricks 30%, Composition 30%
Air tricks and obsticles are open, except for full twisting inverted tricks. No 720 degree spins in your run but you may throw a 7 only as your wildcard. You may throw a full twisting trick as your wild card only.(Whirlybirds, S-Bend or vulcans are not considered a full twisting invert for this competition and may be thrown in your run)
Pro / Outlaw and Wakeskate:
Kickers 20%, Sliders 20%, Air Tricks 30%, Composition 30%:
